Death
CAMDEN, Ark., Jan. 9 (Special). Russell F. Furr, 53, died yesterday afternoon at Locust Bayou. He had lived all of his life in Calhoun and Ouachita Counties. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Ray Chambliss of Locust Bayou, and Mrs. C. R. Davis of Cullendale; his father, D. R. Furr of Locust Bayou; three brothers, Emmett Furr of Hampton, Buel Furr of Camden, and Lamar Furr of Locust Bayou; seven sisters, Mrs. Claude Coston and Mrs. J. E. McKay of Locust Bayou, Mrs. Mose Coston of Laurel, Miss., Mrs. Ivan Norris of Marysville, Calif., Mrs. Don Roslund of Loveland, Colo., Miss Lois Furr of Houston, and Mrs. Riley Strickland of Hampton; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today at Locust Bayou Church of Christ by Billy Hale and George Long. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery by Proctor Funeral Home.The Times, Shreveport, Louisiana, January 10, 1958
