Death
Dorothy Sue Furr Davis, age 83, passed away at Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Camden on April 13th, 2012. She was retired from the International Paper Mill, Bag Pak Division, after 46 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Renfro (C.R.) Davis and her parents, Russell Frank Furr and Madie Ella Nalls Furr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Chambliss and her husband, Edgar Ray, and aunt, Lois Nalls Hollis, all of Locust Bayou. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Davis and wife, Connie, of Camden and daughter, Mitzi Mosier and husband, Jim, of Sherwood, three granddaughters, Jinger Solak and Staci Perry and husband, Shannon, of Camden and Katelynn Emerson and husband, Dustin, of Sherwood, 5 great-grandchildren, Karli Solak of Jonesboro, Rhiannon Solak and Dylan Hicks of Camden and Waylon and Wyatt Emerson of Sherwood. Other survivors include nephews Phil Chambliss of Camden and Steve Chambliss and wife, Claudia, of Hampton and uncle, Lamar (Uncle Dee) Furr of Camden. Two special cousins in her life were Jerry Hollis and Larry Hollis both of Locust Bayou. She leaves behind many other family members and friends that will miss her hugs, loving heart and joyful spirit. She held a special place in her heart for the Davis family who loved their “Aunt Dot” dearly. A special thanks to the visits from Janice, Judy, Uncle Dee, Phil, Odie Lee and many others during her five year stay at Silver Oaks. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 14th from 6:00-8:00pm. Services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm at Proctor Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. She will be remembered for her love of family, food and fishing and will forever be in our hearts. Memorials may be sent to: The Senior Care Unit c/o Ouachita County Hospital.Endnotes
