Death
LLANO — James W. Furr, 90, died Tuesday, April 13, 1993, in a local hospital. Service will be at 3 p.m. today in Waldrope-Hatfield Funeral Home chapel with burial in Llano City Cemetery. He was born March 14, 1903, in Hunt and had been a resident of Llano since 1929. He worked as a wholesale and retail salesman in the hardware business. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Furr of Llano; two sons, Dr. Alton Hodges of Birmingham, Ala., and Kirk Hodges of Boerne; two daughters, Erwinna Hodges Fain of Llano and Elaine Hodges Patterson of Burnet; a brother, Edgar Furr of Sabinal; two sisters, Minnie Banowski of Junction and Mildred Talley of Austin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.San Angelo Standard-Times, San Angelo, Texas, April 15, 1993
