Death
Mrs. Myrtle Simmons Furr passed away on Thursday June 12th in Llano, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Myrtle was born December 11, 1922 in Brownfield, Terry County, Texas to W.T and Emmaline Wray Simmons. Myrtle is survived by one son two daughters and spouses: Kirk and Diane Hodges of Luling, TX Erwinna and Dewey Fain of Llano, TX Elaine and Pete Fowler of Rotan, TX Twelve grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren are left having been blessed to have had her. Along with her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by nine siblings, her first husband Alton Hodges who was KIA in WWII, second husband J.W. Furr, her daughter: Jerree Furr, son: Alton Hodges, granddaughter: Tamara Lynn Hodges, great grandson: Caleb Hodges, great granddaughter: Amaris Hodges. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday June 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the Llano Cemetery with Rodney Tedford officiating. A brief viewing will be held prior to the graveside service. Her grandsons will be the pallbearers.Endnotes
