Death
Raymond Furr, 66, of 2900 Whiteway, founder and president of Austin Title Company, died Monday at Seton Hospital at age 66. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cook-Walden Funeral Home with burial in Austin Memorial Park. He lived in Austin since 1942. Furr founded the Austin Title Company in 1953 and served as attorney and president of the firm until his death. He is survivied (sic) by his wife, Bettye Briggs Furr of Austin; son Randy Furr of Austin; daughters Judy Talley and Janis Blissit, both of Austin; sisters Minnie Bannowsky of Junction and Mildred Talley of Austin; brothers Jim Furr of Llano and Edgar Furr of San Angelo; and 10 grandchildren.Austin American-Statesman, Austin, Texas, January 7, 1981
