Death
ALBEMARLE — Crawford “Jack” Cleo Furr, 81, 740 N. Second St., died Monday (March 9, 1998) at Stanly Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 5, 1917, in Albemarle, Mr. Furr was a son of the late Marshall Philmore and Nora Dennis Furr. He attended Open Door Baptist Church. He was last employed by Crowell & Huneycutt Dodge as a body repairman. Survivors include wife Annie Lee Honbarrier Furr; son Marshall D. Furr, Albemarle; brother Tommy Furr, Albemarle; sisters Ruth Morris and Paulene Burleson, both of Albemarle; three grandchildren; and four great-grand-children. Services: Graveside, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Bethany United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Darrell Huneycutt and the Rev. Charles Goodman. Burial, church cemetery.
