(Ca 1769 - Aft 1799)
It's possible Valentine was the male age 16-21 in the household of Jacob Harmon in 1787, Lincoln Co, KY
He was taxed himself in 1791 on the same day as his father Jacob and brother Jacob.
Valentine married Mary Thompson, 29 Jun 1793, Lincoln Co KY . She was the daughter of Thomas Thompson.
Although young Valentine was married in Lincoln Co - his uncle seems to have been the one that settled there. One of them [I believe it was the uncle] received a Kentucky land grant re Treasury Warrant #3451 entered 6 Jan 1783. It was 500 acres surveyed 17 Nov 1797, then in the County of Lincoln on waters of Skeggs Creek. The grant dated 15 May 1800.
The Warrant 3451 was issued to William Duberry for 500 acres in consideration of 200#'s, date 7 Mar 1780. William Dabney signed on the back. Thomas Hutchings sold an entry of 500 acres on Scaggs creek, warrant transferred to Vallentine Harmon to have survey in his name. 27 Jul 1797. Wit: Alex. Donelson, John Lishner.
The survey said to be on a branch of Scheggses Creek, South side, including the Head o said Branch. Begin two White Oak trees on the East side of a trace that leads down the Dry Fork of Scheggses Creek; thence to two dogwoods, a chesnet & black oak; thence to three white oaks on top of a high ridge; thence to a white oak & dogwood on the East side of a branch; thence the beginning.
