Marie Georgina RABOUIN
(29 Apr 1856 - 6 Apr 1919)
Georgianna A. Ferron nee Rabouin d. 6 April 1919, Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts:
Death notice published 7 April 1919 in The Lowell SunFERRON---Mrs. Georginana (Raboin) Ferron died Sunday at her home, 29 Arkwright Street, aged 61 years. She leaves her husband Gloude Ferron; one son, Joseph and six daughters, Mrs. J. Gagnon, Mrs. A. Sullivan, Mrs. J. Morin and the Misses Celina, Victoria and Mary Ferron. This notice has to be full of errors. I think her first name is mispelled and her husband's name was Claude, not Gloude. Her daughter, Mrs. J. Morin, is actually Mrs. J. Moran and as far as I know, her maiden name was Rabouin. I know there are many variations of the name Rabouin and Raboin is one of them but I am not so sure that is how she spelled her name.Funeral published 9 April 1919 in The Lowell SunFERRON---The funeral of Mrs. Georgianna Ferron took place yesterday from her home, 29 Arkwright street. At St. Joseph's church a funeral mass was celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Jalbert, O.M.I., assisted by Rev. Fr. Marcil, O. M. I., as deacon and Rev. Fr. Bolduc O.M.I., as sub-deacon. The choir was under the direction of Mr. Malo. The bearers were M. F. Ferron, J. Saucier, H. Arvisais, O. Guilmette, J. Guilmette and P. Boisvert. The Third Order of St. Francis was represented by Mrs. F. Lefebvre, Mrs. Tetrault, Mrs. Lemay, Mrs. Lirette, Mrs. Labelle and Mrs. Arvisais. Burial was in the family lot in St. Joseph's Cemetery where Rev. Fr. Turcotte read the committal parayers at the grave. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Undertaker Napolean Bilodeau.
1900 Census indicates that Georgiana had borne 10 children, with six still living.

Marriage
The marriages of Claude Ferron to Georgina Rabouin and of Rosalie Ferron to Joseph Rabouin -- a brother and sister to a brother and sister -- took place on the same day and in the same church. Not sure if it was an actual double-wedding.http://interactive.ancestry.com/1091/d13p_2510a0986?backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.com%2fsearch%2fdb.aspx%3fdbid%3d1091%26path%3d&ssrc=&backlabel=ReturnBrowsing

Living with the family were Claude Ferron, age 36; Georgine Raboin, age 25; Celina Ferron, age 14; Thomas Ferron, age 13; Olida Ferron, age 11; Maxime Ferron, age 10; and Joseph Ferron, age 2 months.Census (family)
Enumerated with this family were Glaude Ferron, age 46, a farmer; his wife, Georgiana, age 35; and children: Celina, age 23; Thomas, age 22, a farmer; Joseph, age 10; Eugenie, age 3; and Aldea, age 1. Who was Thomas? Not in my list of the children. Does it refer to Thomas Lavallee, the son-in-law? His wife is not listed.http://interactive.ancestry.com/1274/30953_148205-00135?backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.com%2fsearch%2fdb.aspx%3fdbid%3d1274%26path%3d&ssrc=&backlabel=ReturnBrowsing#?imageId=30953_148205-00144
Census (family)
Enumerated with this family were:-- Glaude Ferron, age 55, a day laborer, born October 1844 in Canada
-- his wife, Georgianna, age 44, born April 1856 in Canada
and children, all born in Canada:
-- Celina, age 31, born July 1868
-- Joseph, age 19, born January 1881
-- Eugenie, age 13, born December 1886
-- Aldea, age 10, born November 1889
-- Neree, age 8, born August 1891
-- Victoria, age 6, born September 1893
Twelve lodgers were also living in this dwelling.
Glaude and Georgianna were reported (incorrectly) to have been married for 34 years. This obviously refers to Claude's first marriage; Georgianna would have been ten years old at the time. Georgianna is reported to have borne ten children, of whom six were still living.
