Charles M. Raboin, 94, of Niagara, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006, at his home.
He was married 64 years to Judy (DeCremer) who preceded him in death on August 18, 2001.
He had three children: Don (Elaine) of Novato, California, Tom (Carol) of Anchorage, Alaska and Susan (Marcus) Pope of Claremont, North Carolina. Two grand-daughters: Amy (David) Barley of Oakley, California and Diane (Rory) Springfield of San Francisco, California. One great grand-daughter, Molly Barley of Oakley, California.
He was born December 24, 1911 and son of the late Max Raboin and Marie (Uebrick) Raboin and brother of the late Clifford, Don, Alan and Wilna (Raboin) DeClark. He was survived by one brother, Rodney (Gen) of Englewood, Florida; two sisters; Joyce Byrom (Dan) of Von Ormy, Texas and Connie Blivin of St. Joseph, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie came to Niagara in 1917 with his family from Daggett/Talbot, Michigan. He graduated from Niagara High School in 1931 and worked at Kimberly-Clark from 1933 until his retirement in 1970. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golfing, woodworking and for 13 years volunteered to maintain the Niagara Rifle Range. He was a kind and gentle man and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
