Harrisburg Daily Register, Harrisburg, Illinois, Monday, March 2, 1987, Page 12, Cols. 1 & 2: Dwight Hiram Kirkpatrick, 74, a resident of Carrier Mills Nursing Home, died at 2:15 a.m. today at Harrisburg Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and miner and was born in Sesser on Sept. 8, 1912, to the late William and Minerva Martin Kirkpatrick. On May 16, 1957, he was married to the former Sara Casey Newbold, who preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 1981. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a Protestant by faith. Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Helen) Beasley of Route 2, Marion, a brother, Audry Kirkpatrick of Tamaroa; three sisters, Vester Nelson, Lillian Patterson and Ina Rancilli, all of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two step-[grand] children and three step-great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Thornton-Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Reynoldsburg Cemetery.
