Kirkpatrick, 71, wife of Dwight Kirkpatrick, 810 East Walnut St., Carrier Mills, died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday in Doctors Hospital. She was a retired school teacher having taught in Williamson and Johnson Counties. She was born on Aug. 6, 1910 in Tunnel Hill, daughter of the late William R. and Cynthia Hundley Kirkpatrick. On Oct. 28, 1921, she was married to Ebert Newbold, who died on March 26, 1944. On May 16, 1957, she married Mr. Kirkpatrick. She was a member of the Southside Southern Baptist Church in Peoria. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Helen) Beasley, Rt. 2, Marion; two grandchildren, Mrs. Roger (Rene) Marion, and Bruce Beasley, both of Rt. 2, Marion; five brothers, Randolph Casey, Vienna, W. L. (Bill) Casey, Creal Springs, George Casey, Atwood, W. R. Casey and Ben Casey, both of Peoria; and two sisters, Mr. Quentin (Rachel) Emery and Mrs. Woody (Mary ) Cox, both of New Burnside. She was preceded in death by a son, George Walter Newbold, a brother, Howard Casey and a sister, Ruth Casey. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the James Thornton Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, where friends may call after 5 p.m. today. The Rev. Leonard Whitlock will officiate and burial will be in Reynoldsburg Cemetery.
