Wendell Thomas Garretson was born 27 May 1886 in Henry County, Iowa and died 29 Sept 1928. He was a surgeon and lived in Detroit, Michigan. Among his patients was Henry Ford. He studied medicine in universities in Scotland and Paris, and served as a physician in the French army during WW I. Later he was the head of the American Hospital in Paris during WW I. Apparently he never married. Buried in Friends Cemetery, Salem, Iowa.
