Charles, the first child of William Wilberforce Kirkpatrick and his second wife, Laura Zeella (Dodge) Kirkpatrick, was born 2 February 1883 at Hamilton, Hancock Co., Illinois. He was usually called by his middle name, Albert. He married 9 November 1904, Anna Van Buskirk Ege, daughter of Stephen and Fannie (Carlisle) Ege. He died 3 May 1956 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and is buried in Creston, Union County, Iowa. Anna was born 7 December 1884 at Brock, Nemaha County, Nebraska, and died 11 March 1968 at Creston, Union County, Iowa.
