Unionville Republican, Unionville, Missouri, 26 March 1941: Naomi Juanita Garner, daughter of William and Havanah Garner, was born at West Liberty, MO., Sept. 5, 1901, and passed away at her parental home in Unionville, Mo., March 20, 1941, age 39 years, 6 months, 15 days. At the age of eleven she confessed Christ as her Savior, affiliated herself with the Christian church. She was united in marriage to B. J. Hamilton at Centerville, Ia., August 13, 1919. Two children were born to this union: Helen Alene and Duane Garner Hamilton. The family resided in several places until the year 1928, when she and the children went to Wichita, Kan., to make their home. There she labored unceasingly holding two positions to give her little ones the comfort of life. On Sept. 18, 1930, she was married to I. A. Dunlap and for only one short year enjoyed the comforts of a happy married life. There being no Christian [Church] in the community, she and her husband united with the Baptist church, just one block of her home, where she remained a faithful worker, as long as health permitted.

In October, 1931 she contracted tuberculosis, and was a constant sufferer for nine years. In July, 1936, she entered the Cragmor sanitarium, Colorado Springs, Colo., being a patient there four years. On January 8, 1939 her husband passed away, very enduringly the shock of death was so great she never fully recovered from it. Realizing her condition and wanting to be near her loved ones, she came to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Garner, of Unionville, Mo., Sept. 31, 1940, where all that loving hands could do to make her last days happy until that calm spring evening just as the sun was sinking in the west, her spirit took its flight to be with her Savior and loved ones waiting on the other side.
