The Wichita Eagle, Wichita, Kansas, November 25, 1995: Hamilton, Duane Garner, 73, of Shreveport, La., formerly of Wichita, oil and gas producer and lawyer, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 1995, Service has been held. Survivors: wife, Mary; daughters, Lynn Eaker of Charlottesville, Va., Kyle Davis of Englewood, Colo, Ann Leroux of Windsor, Colo.; three grandsons. Memorial has been established with Disabled American Veterans. Boone Funeral Home. Shreveport.

The Denver Post, Denver, Colorado, December 12, 1995: Duane Garner Hamilton, a former Littleton resident, died Nov. 12 in Shreveport, La. He was 73. A private memorial service will be next summer in Telluride. Hamilton earned degrees from Wichita State University and Washburn University Law School. He served in the Army Air Corps as an A-20 bomber pilot during World War II and flew in numerous combat missions in New Guinea and the Philippines.

He was an oil and gas producer. Hamilton also was a member of the Kansas Bar Association and the Wichita and Denver petroleum clubs. He is survived by his wife, Mary Heleker Hamilton; three daughters, Lynn Auld Eaker, Charlottesville, Va., Kyle Auld Davis, Englewood, and Ann Auld Leroux, Windsor; and three grandsons. Contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
