The Schuyler Sun, Schuyler, Nebraska, Feb. 19, 1920, Page 10, Column 3: The remains of Mrs. Avis Dalton who passed away at her home in Chicago Wednesday of last week were brought to Schuyler Saturday by her daughter, Mrs. R.O. Woodwater *, for interment. Funeral services were held at Chicago and also in this city Monday afternoon at the O'Callahan & Son undertaking parlors, Rev. J. J. Cooke, pastor of the Presbyterian church of this city officiating. Mrs. Dalton had suffered greatly for the past year from cancer. She resided in Omaha for eighteen years prior to her moving to Chicago ten years ago. She was 56 years of age. It was her wish to be buried in the Schuyler cemetery where rest the remains of her two little grandsons, sons of Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Woodworth. The surviving relatives are three daughters, Mrs. R.O. Woodworth of Chicago, Mrs. Marjorie Willard of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Mude [should be Maud] Winegar of Chicago, and one son James Berry of St. Louis, MO, and the husband, Joseph Dalton of Chicago, Ill. Mr. Woodworth is a former Schuyler boy. He is a nephew of Mrs. Howard Chronister and Mrs. E.D. Ralston of this city.
