Eliza Kirkpatrick was born 29 January 1848 in Adams County, Illinois, and died 7 May 1892 in Kahoa, Clark County, Missouri. She married in Camp Point, Illinois on 20 June 1866, Linus Henry Kenney, son of Joseph and Jerusha (Sawin) Kenney, who was born 16 May 1845 in Quincy, Illinois, and died 26 January 1897 in Kohoka, Clark County, Missouri. He served in the Civil Wqr in Company A, 137th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. Eliza and Linus moved to Kahoka, Clark County, Missouri, where he was in the well drilling business.

There were five (5) children born of the marriage.
