Posted at findagrave.com: Times Post, Houston, Mississippi,October 1, 2003: Houston - Services for Ruby Lavell Clark Vance, 91, who died Sept. 25, 2003, were held 10 am, Sept. 27, 2003, at Pearson's Chapel Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Scott Samuell officiating. Interment was held in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Vance was a homemaker and a member of Pearson Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Turner and her husband, James H "Shorty", both of Pontotoc and Lynne Taylor and her husband, Billy, both of Houlka; three sons, Johnny Vance and his wife, Frances, both of Conway, Ark., Gene Vance and his wife, Sara, both of Fayetteville, N C, David Vance and his wife, Nancy, both of Houston; one brother, Thomas Boyce Clark of Waco, Texas; nine great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Oren Vance and her parents, Jonathan Clinton and Alice Leona Kirkpatrick Clark.
