Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Leona Kirkpatrick Clark, 77, of Houston, a lifelong resident of this county, who died Wednesday, Jan 13 at 8:15 am, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Turner, were conducted from the Wesley Chapel Church at 2 pm, Friday, with the Rev. Flenoy Clark and Rev. E Bland officiating. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Norman Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Clark, a member of the Prospect Baptist Church, was the daughter of William Neely Kirkpatrick and Alice Moore Kirkpatrick. She was the widow of the late Clint Clark. She leaves seven daughters, Mrs. Ethel Bray, Mrs. Ernest Turner and Mrs. Allen Hamblin, all of Houston; Mrs. Flora Pennington of Memphis; Mrs. Oren Vance and Mrs. Mabel Funderburk, both of Houlka, and Mrs. Jo Daniels of West Point; five sons, Chilton of Pittsboro, Herman of Memphis, Vernon of Pomona, Calif., and Thomas Boyce of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Jim Blissard of Houlka. Forty-three grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
