The Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, Sunday, April 25, 1999: Edith Morrison Grimes, Rich Hill, MO, and John Knox Village, Lee's Summit, MO, died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Lee's Summit Hospital. Funeral services are pending with Sheldon-Booth Funeral Home, Rich Hill. Memorials may be made to either the Rich Hill United Methodist Church or Brunswick, MO, United Methodist Church. These are the two congregations she served as minister's wife. Mrs. Grimes was the first of seven children born to Alford & Mabel Bear. Her first husband, Albert Morrison, an electrical contractor, preceded her in death in 1985. To this union were born two children, Mary Ann Bedwell and Phillip Morrison, both of whom survive, and six grandchildren. One grandson preceded her in death. In 1988, she married Rev. Dr. Paul E. Grimes, who also survives her. He is a retired United Methodist minister.
