Wanda Miller, 67, of Gothenburg, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. The service was Tuesday at Blase Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, with Pastor Larry Viter officiating. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery, Gothenburg. She was born June 7, 1934 to Francis Henry and Clarisa Katherine (McNeal) Cumpston in Gothenburg. She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1953. June 2, 1956, she married Luther R. Miller at Independence, Mo. She worked for years at Monroe Auto Equipment in Cozad. Miller was a member of the United Methodist Church and according to a family member enjoyed helping at the Gothenburg Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, LaVonne and Virginia; and two grandchildren, Deanna and Michael. Survivors include her husband, Luther of Gothenburg; two daughters, Cathy Gordon and Sandy Miller, both of Gothenburg; a sister, Naomi Prato of Baltimore, MD; five brothers, Leonard (Phyllis) Cumpston of Pitman, NJ, Francis (Virginia) Cumpston of Darr, Harold Cumpston of Carroll, IA, Jim (Janice) Cumpston of Grand Island and Don (Barb) Cumpston of Weeping Water; two grandsons, Larry Magana and Ryan Magana and a great grandson, Dominique Magana.
