Various Rockford, Illinois newspapers stated George attending local school and in 1914 he was in the orchestra as first violin. From The Rockford Morning Star, March 21, 1926: Servatius-Albee, Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Marie Albee, 1032 Knowlton street, to George H. Servatius, 422 Island avenue, which took place yesterday. After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Servatius will return to make their home in Rockford, where the bridegroom is assistant city engineer. The Rockford Morning Star, May 10, 1927 stated George Servatius was resigning from his position as Assistant Public Engineer. It was reported he did good work and that he planned to take a vacation. May 13, 1930, newspaper stated George Servatius [and wife] of 2311 East State street had a girl born during the last month.

Servatius, 54, 322 Soper ave., former assistant city engineer who died Tuesday afternoon, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Sundberg-Chapin funeral home, 215 Hall st. Dr. O. Garfield Beckstrand, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, will officiate, and burial will be in Willwood Burial park. Friends may call in the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 o'clock Thursday night. A lifelong Rockford resident, he held the office of assistant city engineer under the administration of Mayor J. Herman Hallstrom. Mr. Servatius was born March 15, 1902, son of Fred and Amelia Neseman Servatius. He married the former Marie Albee in Rockford March 20, 1926. He was employed as a civil engineer and operated his own civil engineering office after completing his tenure as assistant city engineer. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Amelia Nibbio, Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Scott and Mrs. Louis Yocum, both of Rockford; and four nieces and nephews.
