Nibbio Yunek, 71, lifetime Rockford resident, died at 3:07 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born April 12, 1930, in Rockford, daughter of George and Marie (Albee) Servatius. Graduate of Rockford West High School, Class of 1947. Married Samuel Nibbio on Sept. 17, 1949 he died June 16, 1971. Married Robert Yunek on May 13, 1978 he died July 28, 1989. Worked as Blackhawk Pontiac office manager and held various administrative positions at Humphrey Cadillac & Olds and Emery Air Freight. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include stepchildren, Patrice Marie Lovett of Belvidere, Roberta Jean (Jeff) Suess of Oregon and Dorothy (Gary) Kazuk of Roscoe grandchildren, Steven Lovett, Kathleen Lovett, Bradley Middleton and Melissa Middleton brothers-in-law, Ken (Sandy) Yunek of Sycamore and Bill (Benita) Yunek of Idaho sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Mel) Summers of Nevada, Carolyn Manley of Idaho and Eleanor Rotello, Frances Nibbio and Martha Nibbio, all of Rockford brothers-in-law, Nick Nibbio of California and Vince (Lucille) Nibbio of Rockford many nieces, nephews, family members and close friends. Amelia loved spending time with family and friends and especially a faithful and loyal companion, her dog Tatsy. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Larsen officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in her name. Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald & Associates Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.
