Register-Star, Rockford, Illinois, June 19, 1971, Page 7: Nibbio---Samuel J. Nibbio, 43, 1011 Oakley Ave., died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1971, in his home after a sudden illness. Born Aug. 1927, in Rockford, son of Matthew and Josephine Nibbio. Lived all of his life in Rockford. Married to the former Amelia Servatius in Rockford, Sept. 17, 1949. Employed as a locator for Northern Illinois Gas Co., for 25 years. Veteran of Korean conflict, serving in the U. S. Army. Graduated from West High School, Class of 1947. he was a member of the Venetian Club and IBEW, Local 196. Survivors include his widow, Amelia, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Rotello, Martha Nibbio and Frances Nibbio, all of Rockford; two brothers Nick, Barrington and Vincent, Rockford; several nephews and nieces. Services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N. 6th St., with Rev. Dr. O. Garfield Beckstrand, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Winnebago County Heart Fund.
