Posted at findagrave.com: Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home Mary Aileen Veach Morris of Brooksville, FL, formerly of Sesser, passed away on October 10, 2017. She was born August 7, 1919 in Sesser, IL to Thurmond and Verna (Graham) Lewis. She married Luther Veach and he preceded her in death in January of 1988. She then married retired Baptist minister Aubrey Morris and he preceded her in death in June of 2008. Survivors include her children Marty (Carmen) Veach of Brooksville, FL and Kerry (Mary) Veach of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren Kelly Wells of Bartlesville, OK and Matthew Veach of Bartlesville, OK; great grandchildren Isaiah Wells and Marisa Wells; two brothers Harl Ray (Ruth Ann) Lewis of Valier and Kenneth (Vivian) Lewis of Sesser. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one sister and three brothers. While husband Luther was away at War during WWII, Aileen worked in an airplane factory in St Louis as a riveter. She was a true “Rosie the Riveter”. She was a member of the Horse Prairie Church during her early years and after she moved to Marion, IN with her husband Luther, she became a member of the Sunnycrest Baptist Church in Marion, IN. Funeral services will be on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with Rev. Harl Ray Lewis and Rev. Ernie Lewis officating. Visitation will be on Monday October 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Horse Prairie Cemetery in Sesser. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Horse Prairie Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
