Myrtle Marie (Curtin) Tierney-Segal of Marblehead died March 1 at the age of 97. She was the wife of the late Albert G. Tierney and Philip Segal. She was a member of Tedesco Country Club and an avid golfer, a member of Corinthian Yacht Club and a communicant of Our Lady, Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead. She was mother of Albert G. Tierney of Norwell and Philip Tierney of McLean, Va; step-mother of Philip Segal Jr. of Cranston, R. I. and John Segal of Needham. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Cartier of Natick and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Myrtle's memory may be made to Marblehead Swampscott Visiting Nurses Association, Widger Road, Marblehead 01945.
