Obituary from the Tacoma News Tribune, February 29, 1956, Page D-6: Earl Herbert, 57, of 3102 No. Mullen St., died Monday in a local hospital. Born in Ekalaka, Mont., he had lived here 12 years coming from Arizona. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Bisbee, Ariz., and of the International Woodworkers of America Local No.23. Survivors include his wife, Pearl and twin daughters, Nadine and Lorine, all of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Palmer of Montana and Mrs. Gertrude Torkelson of Oregon and four brothers, Willie of Spanaway and Leslie, Evlin and Milo, all of Montana. Services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Mountain View Funeral Home, with Tacoma Elks Lodge No. 174 officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
