On the 1900 U. S. Census of Glenwood, Mills Co., Iowa, Windfild [sic] S. Brisco appears with his wife Sarah E. He was born September 1853, she was born June 1857. They have been married 25 years. They are the parents of zero children. He works as a day laborer.
On the 1920 U. S. Census of Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, Winfield S. Briscoe appears with his wife Sarah and son Forest, age 16 Winfield is a stationary fireman. They are living on 3rd St.
On the 1930 U. S. Census of Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, Winfild [sic] S. Brisco appears with his wife Sarah E. and adopted son Forest. Forest is divorced. He works as a grain sampler at a grain exchange.
Obituary provided by Walnut Hill/Cutler Cemeteries, Council Bluffs, Iowa: Winfield S. Brisco, 89, 3510 Fourth Avenue, died Wednesday morning shortly before 11 a. m. at a local hospital. Brisco suffering from a lengthy illness, had been in the hospital for twenty-three days. The deceased was a retired fireman and has been a resident of Council Bluffs for the [past] forty years. He was born in Indiana on Sept. 2, 1853, and came to this city in 1902. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed as yet. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery. Cutler's funeral home is in charge. Survivors are one son, Forest of Council Bluffs, and two grandchildren.
