On the 1910 U. S. Census of Stineville, Bean Blossom Township, Monroe Co., Indiana, Dulsena J. Moore appears with her son Elmer R. age 21 and daughter Iona D. age 20. Dulsena is a widow and is a dressmaker with her own shop. Elmer works as a laborer in a stone quarry. Dulsena is the mother of 3 and all 3 are currently living.
Dulsena was living with her daughter Ione Jett and family in 1930 at Green Creek Township, West Terre Haute, Vigo Co., Indiana.
Terre Haute Sunday Tribune and Terre Haute Sunday Star, January 16, 1944, page 6: Dulsena J. Moore, 92 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ione Jett, at West Terre Haute Saturday. A former resident of Stinesville, she was a member of the Baptist church there. Besides Mrs. Jett she is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Houston of Martinsville, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Melia Fox, of Gosport, Ind.; one brother, William Brisco, of Gosport; 15 grand children and 11 great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Rogerson and Weedle Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Terre Haute Tribune, Monday, January 14, 1944, page 2: Dulsena J. Moore, 92 years old, died Saturday at the residence of the daughter, Mrs. Iona Jett, at West Terre Haute. The body was taken to the Rogerson & Wedel Funeral Home and later returned to the residence where funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Chamberville cemetery near Stiensville [Stinesville].
