"Vicar of St. Michael's-on-Wyre and Archdeacon of Lancaster. Educated at Rugby and Balliol Coll., Oxford, (B.A., 1876; M.A., 1879). Curate of St. Cuthbert's, Lytham, 1877-80. Curate to his father at St. Michael's, 1880-85. Succeeded his father as Vicar of St. Michael's, 1885. Resigned the living in favor of his eldest son, 1919. Proctor in Convocation, 1905. Archdeacon of Lancaster, 1909-36."
