Witnesses for the marriage of James & Deborah Plumb Galloway were: Joseph Plumb and Thomas Mose. The preacher was John Thompson. They were married in Cavan Twp., Durham Co., Ont. Can. Jan. 17, 1832. A copy of the marriage of his daughter Margret to Alexander Ogilvie in Chatham Twp. Kent Co. Ont. on Feb. 18, 1859 noted that her mothers name was Catherine Galloway. The 1861 Canadian census showed his wife Deborah married to Elias Holmes & also living in Chatham Twp. Kent Co Ont. I am trying to research what happened. An old book I have, indicates that James Galloway died Aug. 22, 1863 and was buried in Fulton Twp. Gratiot Co. Mi., although I haven't been able to confirm this as of this date ( Nov. 27, 2001) He acquired land in Manvers Twp. (Lot 10 Con 6) ) 11/3/1831--.GALLOWAY JAMES JR. ....
