Obituary: SCOTT - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Harold Hoffpauir, 77, who passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at his residence in Duson. Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. The Rev. Gilbert J. Dutel, pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, will conduct the funeral services. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Mewhinny, of Sneedville, Tenn.; two sons, Mervin Hoffpauir, of Scott, and Paul Hoffpauir, of Crowley; three sisters, Mrs. Dudley (Rita) Duhon, Mrs. Maurice (Audrey) Stewart and Mrs. Lenny (Fannie) Lagrange, all of Scott; three brothers, Leroy Hoffpauir, Roaul Hoffpauir and Noah Hoffpauir, all of Scott; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lou Alleman Hoffpauir; parents, Noah Hoffpauir Sr. and Ida Miller Hoffpauir; daughter, Genive Hoffpauir; grandchild, Stacy Hoffpauir; and two brothers, Lawrence Hoffpauir and Chester Hoffpauir. A native of Lafayette and a resident of Duson, Harold Hoffpauir had retired from the Town of Scott. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. A rosary was prayed Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at 7 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday from 3 p.m. throughout the night until time of services Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
