Obituary: Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Raoul Hoffpauir, 92, at 10:00AM on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA with Rev. Sam Fontana as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, LA beginning at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 until 9:00PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30PM and will resume at 8:00AM on Friday until just prior to time of service. Interment will follow the church service and will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Hoffpauir passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Lafayette LA. Mr. Hoffpauir was a longtime resident of Lafayette, LA. and at the time of his retirement was a Custodian with Lafayette Woodworks. He is survived by his children, John Dale Hoffpauir and his wife Gloria of Lafayette, LA, Norma H. Lavergne of Scott, LA, Kenneth "Ken" Hoffpauir of Lafayette, LA; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Leroy Hoffpauir of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Fannie LaGrange and her husband, Lanny of Scott, LA. He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Larry Hoffpauir; the mother of his children, Girdy Cormier Menard; one son-n-law, Horace Joseph Lavergne; his parents, Minaway Hoffpauir and Ida Miller Hoffpauir; two sisters and five brothers. Pallbearers will be Randall Joseph Hoffpauir, Cody Justin Lavergne, Ryan Paul Lavergne, Corey Joseph Falcon, Gervis Duhon and Richard Hoffpauir. Gift bearers will be Cynthia Terro and Randall Hoffpauir. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Hoffpauir's memory to Hospice of Acadiana. Also the family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Regional Medical Center of Acadiana and Hospice of Acadiana for the special care and attention given to Mr.Hoffpauir.
