Burial

Obituary: SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Friday at a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Audrey Mary Steward, 80, who died on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Magnolia Estates in Lafayette. Entombment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum in Scott. Reverend Mario Romero, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Stephanie Hoffpauir, organist and soloist, will sing "Wind Beneath My Wings," "I Wish You Were Here," "Step Into The Water," and "Amazing Grace" for the services. Survivors include one daughter, Rachelle Faulk and her husband Scotty Faulk; one step-daughter, Lou Ann Schlagel and her husband Andy Schlagel; one son, Keith Blanchard and his wife Jill Blanchard; one step-son, Henry Steward and his wife Anita; one sister, Fanny LaGrange; two brothers, Leroy Hoffpauir, and Raoul Hoffpauir; four grandchildren, Brett Faulk, Brooke Faulk, Kylie Blanchard, and Kennedy Blanchard; seven step-grandchildren, Kristen Westmoreland, Jacie Satterfield, Randy Steward, John Morrison, Julie Johnson, Chelsey Young, and Kaylee Schlagel; and eleven step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Noah and Ida Hoffpauir; her beloved husband, Morris Steward; one son, Jimmy Blanchard; one step-daughter, Polly Morrison; one sister, Rita Duhon; and five brothers, Moise Hoffpauir, Chester Hoffpauir, Lawrence Hoffpauir, Harold Hoffpauir, and Noah Hoffpauir, Jr. Audrey Mary Steward was an avid member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott. She really enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren where she got the nickname "Granny". She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Keith Blanchard, Scotty Faulk, Brett Faulk, Gervis Duhon, Brad Duhon, and Jean Hoffpauir. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday. A Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
