1909 death based on copy of death certificate where son, H.T. Brown, was in attendance at the son's home. He was age 50 (born 1859) and a jeweller journeyman. Upon his death his wife and the children moved to Monterey Park, Calif. soon after.
1901 census shows him as born in Coventry, age 42 (born 1859), a jeweller/mounter and tobacconist shopkeeper. The family was living at 61 Wheeler St., St. Matthews Parish, St. George Municipal Ward, North Birmingham Parliamentary Borough. This census shows him living with his wife, Eliza, age 40, son Arthur age 17, son Samuel age 15, son Harold age 14, son Archie age 5 and daughter Eveline age 2.
1894 he was the informant for and was present at his mother's death per her death certificate. He was living at 61 Wheeler St., Birmingham at the time.
