1930 census shows he owned a home at 201 S. Ynez Ave., Monterey Park, CA, owned a radio, age 43 (born 1887), his age at first married was age 27 (married 1914), came to USA in 1909, employed as a jeweler and still married to Annie. Living at 129 S. Ynez Ave. on the north was his mother, Eliza, and at 213 S. Ynez Ave. on the south was his brother, Samuel. They did not move since the 1920 census therefore the street numbers were changed. 1930 census for Monterey Park, CA: 19-1424 Sheet 9A.

1920 census he was age 33 (born 1887) living with his wife Anna, age 31, and his mother Eliza age 58. The mother was head of the family with all living at 2733 Ynez, Monterey Park, CA, next door to Samuel, his brother, at 2801 Ynes Ave.

1917 he was naturalized per the 1920 census. On 7 April 1917 he signed Petition for Naturalization showing residence at 2737 Inez St., Los Angeles, was married to Annie W. On 5 June 1917 he signed a Draft Registration Card establishing his birth date, occupation jeweler mfg and showed him as married.

1914 marriage year established from the 1930 census.

1910 census shows him single age 23 living with his mother and siblings at 1517 West 8th St., Los Angeles.

1909 came to USA about the same time, if not the same time, as his mother per the 1920 and 1930 census. Per his Certificate of Arrival for Naturalization Purposes dated 29 October 1912 he emigrated to USA thru Liverpool, England aboard vessel S.S. Corsican to Montreal, Canada then via Grand Trunk RR to Sarnia, Canada then Port Huron, Michigan on 17 Sept. 1909, a few days before his mother and brother, Archie. Arrived in California on 26 Sept. 1909.

1901 census shows him age 14 (born 1887) working as a jeweler and living at home with parents at 61 Wheeler St., St. George district, Birmingham.

1891 census shows him age 4 (born 1887), born in Birmingham and living at 61 Wheeler St., St. George Ward, Birmingham.

1886 birth date established by copy of birth certificate. Birth date also established from1917 Draft Reg. Card. The family was living at the time at 144 Summer Lane, Birmingham.
