Christian BATTORFF

Christian and his brother Henry were each supposed to have received a part of a tract of 443 acres from their father Martin but no deed is recorded in Berks County. Martin's grandson Martin, Jr. received a part of this 443 acre tract and there is a deed recorded in Berks County for this. The tract of 160 acres that Christian leaves to his sons John and Benjamin in his will in 1781 could be the tract that he allegedly received from his father Martin. There is no deed recorded in Berks County showing a transfer of 160 acres to Christian.

His will gives his son's names as John, Benjamin, Stofle, and Christian but does not give his wife's or his 5 daughters names but refers to them. His sons Christophel and Christian are named as executors. The witnesses are John Christian and Henry Badorff. He transfers two tracts of land of 160 and 175 acres to his sons John and Benjamin in his will of 8 May 1781.
