Notes
Property
Christopher gives his son Benjamin 90 acres of land where he was living and 20 acres of woodland in his will. This is the property that he received in 1981 when he and his brother, Christian, divided the three tracts of land they had bought in 1775.Property
Christopher Battorff gave 20 acres of this property to his son Leonard in his will. Christopher states in his will that his son Christopher had already received his share in his lifetime. Christopher Batdorff, Jr. owned 127 acres when he died. There is no deed recorded showing him buying this property. It is believed that his father Christopher Battorff, Sr. gave him this property prior to his death and that it is was part of the property he bought from Henry Batdorff and Anna Maria his wife in 1796.Probate
His will names his wife Catharina and his children Benjamin, Catharina, Leonard, and Christopher. His sons Christopher and Benjamin are named as executors. The witnesses are Philip A. Good and Michael Swartz.Endnotes
