Occupation
According to the Biographical and Portrait Cyclopedia of Cambria County, William owned a farm of 100 acres in South Mahoning Township, Indiana, County, Pennsylvania. He settled on this farm in 1838 and made the first improvement on this place.Property
William and Clarissa Rowland transferred their farm of 112 acres to their son, William S. Rowland, for $1 and the following consideration on 19 October 1865. He was to support them for the remainder of their lives and was to pay his brothers (Jacob and Martin L.) $40 each after their parents' deaths and was to pay his sisters (Anna M., Elizabeth, Mary E., Amanda, and Rebecca) $60 each after their parents' deaths.Endnotes
