Alexander St John was the 3rd son of John St John and Margaret Ferch Morgan. He m. Jane (or Joan) Dalison (Dalyson), widow of Thomas Leventhorpe (d. 1527) of Shinglehall, Sawbridgeworth, Herefordshire and da. of George Dalyson, Esq. of Cransley, Northants.
