Thomas was born in 1778, the son of [[Lackey-308 | Thomas]] and [[Anderson-10271| Martha Anderson]] Lackey. He married [[Leech-173 | Martha Leech]] and together they had eight children: Martha, [[Lackey-310 | John]], Jean, Agnes, Thomas IV, [[Lackey-1187 | James]], Samuel and Eleanor. Thomas was a remarkable man in physical strength, weighing over 300 pounds in old age. H was an elder in the Assocate(d) Reformed Church in Kerr's Creek, VA. He passed away in 1837 and was buried at Bethel ARP Church Cemetery, Rockbridge, Virginia, United States.
