Nathan Lackey

== Biography == Nathan Lackey was born on 13 Apr 1791 in Timber Ridge, Virginia to parents [[Lackey-308 | Thomas Lackey II]] and [[Anderson-10271 | Martha Anderson]]. Nathan served in the US Army, Flying Camp (McDowell's), Virginia Military, during the War of 1812. He married first [[Lackey-590 | Mary Jane Lackey]], his first cousin, daughter of [[Lackey-591 | James Lackey]] and [[Gilmore-593 | Isabella Gilmore]] in 1513. Children: James N, Nancy Gilmore, Samuel, Martha Jane, [[Lackey-579 | Isaac Anderson]], Thomas T, [[Lackey-521 | John Franklin]], Nathan Alexander, Mary Isabella and Phoebe Elizabeth. Mary Jane died in 1834. In 1835, Nathan married third [[Miller-72866 | Elizabeth Miller Brown]]. They had no children. In the 1850 census record he reported his occupation: Farmer. Nathan died on 9 Jul 1859 in Timber Ridge, Virginia.
