Services for Martin William Praytor, 89, of Rt. 4 Arden, who died Sunday,
will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. The Revs.
Roy Rector and Bobbie Arrowood will officiate. Burial will be in the
church cemetery. A native of Henderson County and a son of the late O.
W. and Bessie Fowler Praytor, he was the husband of the late Camie W.
Praytor. He was a member of the Fletcher Red Men's Lodge for 30 years.
Surviving are five sons, Willard, Carroll, Lee Jay and Martin Praytor Jr.
of Fletcher and Paul Praytor of Asheville; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma
McMinn and Mrs. Wilma McMinn of Fletcher and Mrs. Annie Mae Hudson and
Mrs. Edna Israel of Arden; a brother, Everette Praytor of Fletcher; a
sister, Mrs. Margarette Tinsley of Laurens, SC; 58 grandchildren, 93
great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Penland and Sons
Funeral Home, Asheville, is in charge.
