Everette Praytor
Mills River - Everette Praytor, 92, of Route 2, died Saturday at his
residence. A lifelong resident of Mills River, he was the husband of
Ollie Mahaffey Praytor, who died in 1975. Surviving are three daughters,
E. Bee Bishop, June McFalls and Norma Gasperson of Mills River; six sons,
Reid Praytor of Thomasville, Charles E. Praytor Jr., Bill, Jim, Donald
and Joe Praytor, all of Mills River; 28 grandchildren and 28
great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Mount Gilead
Baptist Church. The Rev. Bobbie Arrowood will officiate. Burial will be
in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Sunday at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Home, and at other times will be
at the residence, Highway 191, Mills River.
