Death
Mrs. Frances Seville, wife of Harvey W. Seville died at the Chambersburg hospital, April 29, 1949 following a lingering illness. Death was due to complications.The deceased was the daughter of the late George and Catherine Schooley Fittery, and was born in Fulton county, November 5, 1882 hence at the time of her death was aged 66 years, 5 months and 24 days. She was a member of the Brethern church.She was united in marriage to Harry Carbaugh who preceeded her in death thirty two years ago. To this union six children survive: Bill Carbaugh of Cito; Daniel Carbaugh of McConnellsburg; Ruth Garland of Ohio; Abbie Edwards of Big Cove Tannery; David Carbaugh of Hancock, MD; Dorothy Carbaugh of Shirleysburg; one son Herman Carbaugh deceased.Married for the second time to Harvey W. Seville who survives with two children: Norman of McConnellsburg and Raymond of Big Cove Tannery;. Step children include Lucy Helman and Merrill Seville both of McConnellsburg; Leona Souders of Wells Tannery; Hazel Souders of Webster Mills and Ruth Truax of Cito.She is also survived by two brothers: Amon Fittery of Big Cove Tannery and Jefferson Fittery of McConnellsburg and two sisters: Ozie B. Salmon of Chambersburg and Emmer Seville of McConnellsburg. Twenty-seven grand children, thirty-nine step grand children and six step great grand children.Funeral services were held Monday May 2 at 2:30 o'clock with brief services at the home followed by services at the Union Cemetery with the Rev. B.E. Waltz officiating. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.Endnotes
