Mrs. Margaret Bechtel Hager, 42, wife of Chester O. Hager, died at Ball Memorial Hospital early Sunday morning following an extended illness. The family residence is at 716 W. Streeter Aave., in Tilmore Addition.
The daughter of Frank and Jennie LaBoyteaux Bechtel, Mrs. Hager was born in Muncie and had spent her entire life in this community. She attended Muncie city schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School with the class of 1929.
Surviving besides the husband are the mother, and two sisters, Mrs. Olive Hauck and Miss Helen Bechtel, all of Muncie.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. David G. Walker, associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, or any time before the services Tuesday.
