Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock, Rev.
J. M. Tidball officiating. Burial took
place at the Minonk cemetery. The

H. B. Meils.
Those from out of town who at-
tended the funeral were Mrs. O. M.
Davison and son, Orville of Woodrow,
Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. S. N. Kipp and
sons, Frank and Donald of South Hav-
en, Mich.; Mrs. T. L. Trowbridge and
Mrs. Mary Sansom, of Wilcox, Neb.;

Eleanor V. Bane was born near
Wheeling, W. Virginia, on Jan. 17, 1846.
She came to Woodford county over fif-
ty years ago and resided near Eureka,
moving to near Dana in 1865. Later
she moved with her family to Minonk,
where she had lived for thirty-two
years.
On January 6, 1870 she was united
in marriage with Presley Martin and
to him who now sadly mourns her
loss, she was a loving and faithful
wife. To this union six children were
born: Mary Alene, now Mrs. O. M.
Davison, of Woodrow Fla.; Laura
Belle, now Mrs. S. N. Kipp, of South
Haven, Mich.; Emma Geneva, now
Mrs. O. A. Tucker, of Minonk; Harry
Stanley, at home, and two sons de-
ceased, John Franklin and Melvin
Clinton, one of whom died in infancy
and the other in young manhood.
In early years Mrs. Martin united
with the Christian church and had
always retained her connection with
that faith. Her activity was pro-
nounced in everything that was good.
In the Aid society of the Presbyterian
church of Minonk she was a faithful
worker, but in the Women's Christian
Temperance Union her zeal for right-
eousness was most emphatic and her
place will be missed among the loyal
army of white ribboners. A host of
friends in Minonk and elswhere
mourn today for her.
