Anniversary
Mr. and Mr.s James Oakley recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a family picnic held at Springwater Povincial Park. Mr. and Mrs. Oakley were married at St. Mathias Anglican Chruch, Coldwater by Rev. Mackie on June 25, 1919.Mrs. Oakley was the fromer Bessie Oliver.
The couple have lived at North River and in and near Coldwater for most of their married live. They are now making theri home with a daughter at Cumberland Beach.
Their family includes three daughters: Ada (Mrs. Harvie Raymond), Edna (Mrs. John Steen) and Reta (Mrs. Rick Ormond); 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A son Morley is deceased.
