COLDWATER-A member of a well known Matchedash township family, Mrs. Edith Oakley, passed away recently at the age of 75. Rev. Lorne Pierre of the Anglican Church conducted the furneral service at teh Rovinson funeral home, Coldwater. Interment was at Coldwater Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Oakley, Brennan Oakley, John Silk, Bev. Silk, David Laughlin and Don Walker.
Mrs. Oakley was born Edith Oliver, in Matchedash, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Oliver. She spent her entire life in the township. On November 20th, 1919 she was married at Coldwater to Joseph Oakley, who predeceased her. She had been a member of the Willing Works of St. John's Church, Matchedash.
Surviving are two sons, Oliver Oakley of Matchedash and Ernest Oakley of Nobleton, two daughters, Mary (Mrs. John Silk) and Joan (Mrs. -- Silk), both of Matchedash; two brothers, Ernest and Stanley Oliver, two sisters, May (Mrs. Ed Brandon) and Bessie (Mrs. Jim Oakley, -- grandchildren and five greatp grandchildren.

Mrs. Oakley was born Edith Oliver, In Matchedash, daughter of the late mr. and Mrs. William Oiver. She spent her entire life in the township.
