Montezuma Republican 11 Oct. 1917 ...A quiet home wedding last Thursday evening was that of Miss Ruby Breniman, youngest daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Fred F. Breniman, and Mr. Otto Gloe, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Gloe. The bride has been a popular student in the Brooklyn high school and is a great favorite among her acquaintances. The groom is a member of the firm of Roudabush & Gloe, proprietors of the River Road garage and is an industrious and prosperous young man -- Chronicle.
Death
MRS. JACK BENTON DIES IN COLORADO --- Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. Jack Benton, 73, a former Brooklyn resident.Ruby Sarah Breniman, daughter of Fredrick F. and Mollie B. (Weatherbe) Breniman, was born Dec. 17, 1900 at Brooklyn and died Jan. 9, 1974 in Poudre Valley Memorial Hospital, Fort Collins, Colo., after a lengthy illness. Rev. Delbert Paulson conducted funeral services Friday afternoon, Jan. 11 at the Warren Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, following OES graveside services.
She moved to Ft. Collins in 1920. She was married to Jessie J. Benton in Elko, Nev., on Nov. 7, 1960. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fort Collins Chapter #26 Order of Eastern Star, Jerusalem Galilee White Shrine #13 and Ft. Collins American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Benton, a son Wilbur E. Gloe and wife Betty, Burlingame, Calif., two grandchildren; one great grandchild, a sister Mrs. Charles (Alma) McSherry of Brooklyn and several nieces and nephews.
Preceeding her in death were her parents; a sister, Ada, and her first husband, Otto Gloe, whose sister Mrs. John (Anna) Edelen resides in Brooklyn.
